Aug 16, 2015 Hi, I just upgraded win 7 64bit to Win 10 64bit on my Acer Aspire 5553g with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 but my drivers stopped working for some. AMD/ATI driver for Mobility Radeon HD 5650 Windows 7 (32bit).
I am not sure how this happened, but i was unistalling some stuff from my lap, turned off for the night, next morning i see that my graphic card is vanished, and replaced by VGA Graphics Adapter, it has a yellow triangle on device manager list. No unistall done was related to ATI, or graphics in any way. I am unable to install any CCC version, ATI Technologies folder remains empty, and i tried many versions.
I know that my graphics are in Legacy support for some time now, and i downloaded from ATI site: WHQL-Win8.1-Win7-Catalyst-15.7.1-Oct30 Same thing, doesnt ask for a restart, doesnt install Catalyst Control Center, ATI Technologies folder remains empty, cant find the app icon on desktop, simply not there. Also, i downloaded from ACER site: VGA_AMD_8.84.7.4_W7x64_A VGA_AMD_8.741.1.5000_W7x64_A VGA_ATI_8.692.1.0_W7x64_A No effect. I am unable to install manually, as it says that Standard VGA Graphics Adapter drivers are up to date. No trouble whatsoever with Intel HD drivers, they install and work as they should. And no problems with any other driver, actually. Configuration is: Acer Aspire 7745G Intel Core CPU M460 @ 2.53GHz 6GB RAM (5.68GB usable) Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit System Intel HD Graphics ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5650 HardwareID PCI VEN_1002&DEV_6880&SUBSYS_03671025&REV_00 PCI VEN_1002&DEV_6880&SUBSYS_03671025 PCI VEN_1002&DEV_6880&CC_030000 PCI VEN_1002&DEV_6880&CC_0300 Any help greatly appreciated! Hello people, and thank you for taking time to reply.
And im sorry for taking long to reply, been too busy lately. Fagetti, i tried, no luck. Same thing, Standard VGA Graphics Adapter still there, Radeon Graphic card still gone. BFG-9000, i tried both latest Intel IGP i could find, and customized ones from Acer, same thing, no luck. Unless i didnt understand what you were trying to say, but dont think so. Well, thats what i get for buying piece of trash, just because i was in a hurry.
And that guy selling this shit. One thing is for sure, i will not come near AMD in future. I am far from expert, i know basic stuff. But why did they make it so complex to do a simple thing.? Much appreciated fellas! 'and that guy selling this shit' was this used laptop?
Probably some reflowed peace of crap I hope not. Its not uncommon that gpu chip fails on these motherboards, no way to 'revive' it than reflow (works little time, sometimes longer) or changing chip ( you never know if you even get new chip from china or some crap with new serial number ) Yea, the price was 250 euros, aprox this time last year. As mentioned before, i was in a hurry, and needed something as i was going to a remote area for some time. Was in a military. Stewart bushong radiologic science technologists pdf files.
So basically, it is dead, but not dead enough to stop using the laptop? I play older games to kill time (so the time wont kill me ) Those games that need DirectX 9, and can run on Intel IGP. It felt strange right from the start, for example, i was unable to play many games even when the card was doing its 'job'. Many, many games (that should work), dont. Most of them (SimCity 2013, CoH ToV etc.) play the sound, cursor is there, but the screen remains black.
Kings of leon only by the night rar 32082 key. Thats when i first realized that something is wrong here. -Note to myself, play stupid games, win stupid prize. Ty for the reply! There's only one Intel graphics driver listed at Acer: VGA_Intel_8._W7x64_A Actually nVidia had far more problems with GPUs in laptops than AMD, with HP and Dell offered BIOS updates to run the fan at full blast all of the time to try and workaround the issue, as there was nothing to replace them with but more defective boards. AMD on the other hand had many problems in X-Boxes but this was likely more a design problem that was. And thats the one i installed here.
